Being a female, I can say I have never in my life spit on the ground. However, I see nearly every day, some guy spitting on the ground somewhere. Why is this necessary? It's a filthy habit and I believe it used to be against the law (in the time of cholera or consumption or possibly both). Is it still against the law? if it's not, it should be. Spitters should get a big fat ticket. Gross.
